Avoidance of tasks needing extended mental effort:
Due to the lack of focus, children with ADHD tend to avoid activities that require a sustained mental effort, like paying attention in class or doing homework.
Mistakes: A child with ADHD may have difficulty following instructions that require planning or executing a plan. Which can lead to careless mistakes — that’s not an indication of laziness or a lack of intelligence.
Daydreaming: A child with ADHD isn’t always boisterous and loud. Other signs of ADHD are being quieter and less involved than other kids, include staring into space, daydreaming, and ignoring their surroundings.
